Binganthalawa & Harasbedda

Day 3 of the four-day trip to Nuwara-Eliya ; Welimada & Ragala.
Visited Binganthalawa, and climbed the Darapanahela mountain range. Crossed over to Harasbedda, and returned back to Binganthalawa. Visited an archaeological site, believed to be ruins of a old palace complex. This area is believed to be one site that king Rawana landed his Air-craft; the 'Dandumonaraya' (in about 2500 A.D.). The Ragala rock(peak), in the Darapanahela range is said to be named after king Rawana. (Rawana + aa+ gala = the rock Rawana used to come).

Day 2 of the Four-day visit to Nuwara-eliya, Welimada & Ragala areas.

(by King RAWANA, in appx. 2500 A.D., as according to the Legendary Indian Epic Ramayana). Queen Seetha is said to have gone to the Manawela falls to bathe, (which is a few kilo-meters away from Sthree-pura), through a cave-way.
