Day -3 : Haldummulla Trip

The third & final day  of the trip, began with a Bird-watching session at the Haldummulla Medicnal Plants Garden. The St, Benedict's Monastery : Adisham in Haputale & The Sora-gune Devalaya in Hal-atu-thenna, Haldummulla were visited, before heading back to Colombo.

Day 2 : Haldummulla Trip

On the second day of the Haldummulla trip, the Medicinal Plants Garden at Pattipola was visited. The route from Haldummulla to Pattipola was via Beragala, Haputale, Bora-landa, Keppetipola, Rendapola and Ambewela. The returning back to Haldummulla was through Welimada & Bandarawela. A bird-watching session took place at the Haldummulla Garden in the after-noon. Prof. Piyal Marasinghe delivered one of his lecture that evening too.

Day 1 : Haldummulla Trip

The First day of the, three-day trip to Haldummulla. We arrived at the Haldummulla Medicinal Plants Garden in the after-noon. Prof. Piyal Marasinghe, Scientist/Officer-in-charge, showed us around the garden, explaining about it's Flora & Fauna. He also did a short multimedia presentation on "The Host Plants of Butterflies" later in the evening.
