Aranaganwila & Pulligoda

The Haritha Diyatha team who went for the Polonnaruwa school program, had also visited the Aranaganwila area to meet Mr. Tikiribanda, an eye-witness of the meteor-swarm that fell into that area. These meteorites are believed contain Diatoms, and therefore some scientists claim, is an evidence of extra-terrestrial life. The paddy field where most of the meteorites were found, facing the Dimbulagala mountain range, and the Pulligoda caves with ancient rock paintings, had also been visited.
