Mannar Trip - Day 2

Day two of the Mannar trip in search of Flemingos. Bird-watching around Vankalai wetlands in the morning. Visited the Old Dutch Fort in Mannar and the famouse Baobab tree. Spotted a flok of about thousnd Greater Flemingos, North to the Mannar Ocean Bridge ..... , at the far-end of the lagoon - too far to photograph.

Mannar Trip -Day 1

First day of a two-day trip to Mannar, in search of Greater Flemingos. Took-part in a Bird-watching session near a unknown lake in Anuradhapura in the morning. Visited Thanthirimale and spent the night at Madu.

The 2012 Annual General Meeting of the Haritha Diyatha Environment Organization ( the 6th Haritha Diyatha AGM ) was held on the 09th December 2012, at the "Mihithala Mithuro" Foundation premises at Korala-Ima (Horana).

The Mihithala-Mithuro Environment Development Foundation (MEDEF) is situated adjacent to the proposed KODIGAHA-KANDA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY : ( a forest land of about 35 acers, with a very rich Bio-Diversity ).
